EB5 Visa Development Projects at Jay Peak Resort
Please also take a look over at Jay Peak Resort's website where you can see an Interactive Expansion Map (opens in new window).
Jay Peak Resort has been a successful, winter-focused resort (with some summer activities) for over 55 years and is one of the leading ski resorts in North America.
Jay Peak has a very successful winter ski operation in one of the most beautiful parts of America, Northern Vermont although has the smallest bed base of any major resort having less than 1,500 beds for visitors at present. Resorts that Jay Peak competes with have no less than 10,000 beds per resort and some as high as 20,000 beds, thus providing Jay Peak with an exciting opportunity to expand its hospitality operations. That is why the management of Jay Peak Resort has chosen Real Estate based projects to be core components in the Jay Peak EB-5 Visa Investor Programs.
Jay Peak Resort has one of the brightest futures of any resort in North America.
Jay Peak Master Development Plan
In August of 1997 Jay Peak received the most encompassing Master Plan development approval in history from the State of Vermont. This permit allows for the evolution of Jay Peak into a year-round 4 season resort with important summer activities and facilities as well as expanded accommodations. The Master Plan allows for substantial winter expansion as well.
This Master Plan development has provided a pathway for the EB-5 Visa projects; the EB-5 visa projects will add weather-proof facilites, many of which have now been constructed as the EB-5 visa projects have subscribed including a 57 Unit Condominium Hotel, the Golf Clubhouse and Indoor Ice Arena.
Within the second phase of EB-5 developments, Jay Peak is now constructing the only indoor water-park in Vermont of some 40,000 square foot physically attached to a 120 Unit Condominium Hotel including conference facilities, retail sectors and Spa facilities.
The latest EB-5 project to subscribe consisted of Penthouse Suites on the top floor of the second phase 120 unit condominium hotel mentioned above.
The properties will offer participants a solid business to invest in and a business setting that has outstanding summer and winter recreational activities.
The real estate will begin to meet the accommodations shortage Jay Peak has, and will be a business success from its first season of operation. The sites of the facilities are in the geographic center of the resort.
By expanding into summer operations, adding new facilities and creating accommodation, Jay Peak will create many new permanent jobs at the resort and in the greater Jay Peak region. Jay Peak's 4-season evolution will also cause the creation of hundreds of direct and indirect jobs in and around the project's center.
Because Jay Peak is located within a Regional Center, all local and regional jobs that are indirectly created by Jay Peak's transition are applicable toward the immigrant investor job creation criteria. Meeting this requirement can be among the most challenging for any project assisting its investors to qualify as Alien Entrepreneurs. Location of a qualifying enterprise in a Regional Center is a significant benefit.
