Jay Peak Region
Jay Peak Resort's Location
Jay Peak offers one of the most breathtaking settings available, with a view of four states and Canada from its summit.
Jay Peak Resort is located in the middle of Northern Vermont, approximately 65 miles from Burlington, Vermont; 90 miles from Montreal, Quebec and 210 miles from Boston. The resort is located in the town of Jay, Vermont in Orleans County, just two miles from the Canadian border.
Jay Peak Resort is surrounded by a primary market of 100 million people in Eastern North America and being only 5 miles from the province of Quebec directly benefits from over 6 million people who reside in the greater Montreal community which is only a 90 minute drive from the resort.
Of the near 400,000 persons who visit the Resort each year approximately half of those are Canadian citizens whose economy has remained relatively stable despite decline elsewhere.
The Jay Peak, North Troy, Montgomery Center, Newport and Derby areas create an exciting activity center in North Central Vermont. Lake Memphremagog at nearby Newport provides a large, beautiful lake for a full range of water sports and activities during the summer season.
Orleans County is a beautiful part of Vermont. Known as the Northeast Kingdom, it boasts great recreational resources. Hunting, fishing, sailing, beautiful brooks and streams, alpine and cross-country skiing, and some of Vermont’s most beautiful pastoral dairy farms.
